I was at school, in a class with Nikki. Some class had made a short film. So we went to the theater to watch it. She and I were sitting beside each other, holding close. I remember leaning my head on her shoulder and falling asleep. When I awoke I saw that she was gone. I looked up at the screen and saw the last of the credits roll by. Then the final frame showing the running time to be a little over nine minutes. Mildly confused I got in my car and began to ride home. My cell phone rang, it was Brian the Brain. He was saying something about why she left, some big elaborate excuse on where she had gone. Then I heard the clicking of buttons, like those on an Xbox controller, and Nikki snickering and making some comment about the game. When I realized Brian was lying I said something about it, and about her being there. Brian hung up the phone. More of the dream remains but I cannot recall any of it.
